The Bugaboo Ant is not just a stroller; it's an innovative solution for modern families. Born from the idea of creating a compact, yet comfortable stroller for families living in smaller spaces or frequently traveling with children, the Bugaboo Ant is a testament to thoughtful design and functionality. Its unique properties, such as its lightweight, easy-to-carry design, one-piece fold into a super compact size, pull-along trolley mode, and reversible seat, make it stand out in the crowd.
What makes the Bugaboo Ant even more special is its construction. The stroller is made with screws, allowing parents to replace parts easily when needed. The exterior is crafted from 100% polyester, while the plastic parts are made from PA6 - compounds from AKRO-PLASTIC. This careful selection of materials ensures durability and longevity.
Measuring 400mm in width, 950mm in depth, and 1050mm in height, the Bugaboo Ant is designed to fit seamlessly into compact spaces without compromising on comfort. The design team, led by Aernout Dijkstra-Hellinga, spent four years in Amsterdam perfecting this design, conducting extensive research to understand the needs and challenges of modern families.
The Bugaboo Ant's design is transparent, where form and function combine harmoniously. The central joint provides extra suspension for enhanced comfort. The rear frame is designed to contain and protect the folded structure, keeping the seat safe during travel. The customizable side panels form the sidewalls of the luggage container, communicating the dual functionality of the Bugaboo Ant as both a stroller and a piece of luggage.
Winning the Platinum A' Design Award in 2020, the Bugaboo Ant is recognized for its world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative design. It showcases unmatched professionalism, contributes to societal wellbeing, and is considered a defining aesthetic of its era. The Bugaboo Ant is not just a travel stroller; it is a testament to how thoughtful design can make traveling with children easier and more enjoyable.
